London and South East Division 16

Congratulations to the following 13 squad members who have been invited to attend the trials;

Tom Dufficy, Karl Wilkins, Kain Rix, Austin Beckett, Ollie Bradfield, Tristan Rawcliffe, Joe Brock, Lewis Ludlam, George Wacokecoke, Dan Lewis, Gift Sankoh, Alex Twigge and Matt Jones.

Following this, four boys have now gone through to the final Development Camp and Trial; Dan Lewis, Austin Beckett, George Wacokecoke and Tristan Rawcliife, and Kain Rix would also have progressed had he not been injured. Very well done.

Tristan Rawcliffe, Austin Beckett and George Wacokecoke have now been named in the London Division final squad to play in the Divisional Festival at Broadstreet. We wish them every success and hope they progress to full England U16 honours.

The core of the squad will be based on last season's succesful U15 squad. Outstanding players from the sub-county programme will also be considered in via the Sub-Counties Barbarians squad and in consultation with their coaches from Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. The Northampton Saints and Leicester Tigers Elite Player Development Groups are very important gateways. Training sessions begin in early September and will feature trial matches against the Sub-Counties Barbarians team. The programme builds toward three 'graded' matches against Essex, Middlesex and Hertfordshire in October and November. We will be looking to continue our succesful record of boys achieving places in the London & SE Division and England U16 training squads and teams, whilst ensuring every member of the squad has a very enjoyable and valuable rugby experience.
