London Division Coaching Awards
The Coaching Department are organising an event to recognise the outstanding work of coaches and coach cordinators across the region. Is there someone that you know that has gone that extra mile, is an inspiration to others or has helped to support coaching?
Award Categories
This section gives descriptions of the award categories, together with key evidence that the judging panel will look for when making their decision. These descriptions are particularly useful when completing the Additional Supporting Information section on the nomination forms.
Children’s Coach of the Year
This award recognises the outstanding contribution of a coach of children to the development of basic skills, within the Fundamentals, and Learning to Play and Practice stages of the Participation Development Model, leading to lifelong participation in sport at any level.
Participation Coach of the Year
This award recognises the outstanding contribution of a coach to getting more people starting, staying and/or succeeding in sport through high quality coaching.
Performance Development Coach of the Year
This award recognises the achievements of a coach working to develop emerging and young performers from within sport.
Coach Educator of the Year
This award is for an individual who has made a significant contribution to the development of coaching and individual coaches in the UK through delivery of effective education programmes.
Club Coach Coordinator of the Year
This award recognises the outstanding contribution made by an individual in the facilitation & development of coaches within their club, cluster or Constituent Body
