Rugby Development
The RFU have an active Rugby development team (RDT) working in Eastern Counties. Rugby Development officer (RDO) Lee Adamson leads a team of three community Coaches, Penny Chapman in Norfolk, Tim Reed in Suffolk and John Naylor in Cambridgeshire. Our job is to support the growth and development of the game in all areas. Our work is built on rugby’s core values of Teamwork, Enjoyment, Friendship, Discipline and Respect.
The community coaches work with clubs, schools colleges and universities to increase participation through the raising of playing and coaching standards. The role of the RDO is to support the coaches in this delivery, as well as working in partnership with the Constituent body, Eastern Counties, to improve facilities and increase the numbers of people involved in he game at every level, including volunteer’s, referees and coaches.
